BRIEF HISTORY

It
was believed that the old folks living in this place long time ago,
that the said barangay was infested by WHITE TERMITES. Most of the
houses were living with the termites that time. This white termite
was called by the elders as “CANDANAY” for it was famous of the
large number of termite found on the locality for there was a time
when they call the village as “KADAGHANG-ANAY” until such time
that this was become Candanay and was handed down to generations and
established its name as Candanay.
